I must admit I am not the biggest football fan. I may not know the difference between a safety and tight end but I do know how many points a touchdown will get ya!\u00a0 However, since my brother plays at Furman University,\u00a0 I am definitely the PROUDEST <\/em>fan there is.\u00a0 Just don\u2019t ask me too many game strategy questions! \ud83d\ude09\u00a0 Lucky for me he is the place kicker and punter so I can usually follow along when he is on the field.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My favorite football player!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Sports may not be my thing, but nothing makes me happier than supporting my family.\u00a0 As a bonus, when going to a Furman game, I get to visit Greenville South Carolina which is one of my favorite cities\u2026allow me to explain why\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was SOOO hot outside!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Last week, some of my family and I attended Furman Fan Fest.\u00a0 This event allows everyone in the community to come out before the season starts and meet the players and\u00a0 watch them practice.\u00a0 After the team plays a scrimmage, you can pick up a team poster and get everyone to sign it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not only have I watched a lot of Furman games at their home stadium but I\u2019ve been on the visiting side of different schools\u2019 stadiums as well.\u00a0 I\u2019ll try to make a note at the end of the season of the various wheelchair seatings for the different stadiums.\u00a0 I will point out the seating area for wheelchair users is great at Furman, at least on their home side.\u00a0 There is a nice view of the field with no obstructions.\u00a0 I will venture to the visitor side to see what the seats offer next week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After Furman Fan Fest, we went to downtown Greenville where we had dinner at Tupelo Honey.\u00a0 The food was delicious!\u00a0 I had the Farm Fresh Vegetable Plate which includes any 4 of their sides.\u00a0 Spoiler alert-they\u2019re all good!! Check back here as I review various places around Greenville.\u00a0 There\u2019s so many great restaurants and shops. The plentiful sidewalks are always bustling with people yet wide enough to make navigating in a wheelchair easy!\u00a0 It\u2019s also very dog friendly so it\u2019s nice to see a lot of stores will have water dishes outside.\u00a0 I think what makes Greenville so special is the unique vibe it has as the modern city blends with a small town charm.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
