I’m Katie, a thirty-something, travel enthusiast with a mobility disability that gives me the perspective of exploring the world with a wheelchair. I have genetic condition called Friedreich’s Ataxia, that began taking away my ability to walk in college, but it’s given me experiences of travel at different ability levels. Now I use a wheelchair full time and experience things in another way. But the point is I still get to experience things!
I started this blog as a way to show a wheelchair user’s perspective on things travel related. However, I hope to reach out to anyone looking for inspiration or ways to include people of all ages and abilities. Are you traveling with grandparents? Strollers? Wheelchairs? Let my experiences help you. We can all travel at our own pace.
